Win streak comes to an end for Coed Darcy

With another weekend of good weather and a solid pitch, CD looked to extend their run against Harp Rovers who having only lost twice it was going to be another difficult game.

The game stared disastrous for CD as they lost their defensive Midfielder Lee Hohmann withing the 1st minute following a shocking tackle leaving him to limp off and being subbed as the result of the tackle. It got worse for CD when they lost another player 15 min in through injury when Ashley Williams pulled up with a hamstring issue. CD then lost their keeper Chris Jones after 1/2 hr to injury so all subs used leaving the team up against it.

Harp then went on to score 3 quick goals before half time leaving the 2nd half an uphill battle. The second half continued the same with harp pressing more and creating the more chances and thing got a lot worse when CD lost another player, but this time through a very controversial red card.

Harp went on to score another 2 goals and CD received a consolation goal thanks to a converted penalty by Matt bailey.

Verdict:

Very poor referee decisions through the game for both sides, luckily the ref was being assessed to raise the concerns, CD could have taken something out of this game. There is always the home tie against harp to look forward to!!
