Coed Darcy  Win Local Derby

Llandarcy V Coed Darcy Sat 17th Feb

With no game time played since the 20th Jan, this local derby was exactly what the team needed to continue the current run of form.

Having played a very lively home tie where Coed Darcy had a player and the manager sent off and going onto lose 4-0, this was exactly what was needed to show how far the team had come, With the pitch and weather on good form and an official, game on.

From the off this was a high tempo game, and CD started the more lively and controlled this high tempered game. plenty of chances came for both sides, but the pressure paid off for CD when a penalty was  awarded, the spot kick was taken, but missed and flew passed the left post.

The continued pressure finally paid off when a great through ball resulted in Joe Edwards slotting home just before half time. The second half continued as it ended with plenty of chances both ends and plenty of crunching tackles and clashes, but Llandarcy could not take their chances and it ended 1-0 to Coed Darcy.

Verdict: Llandarcy coming into the game unbeaten probably thought another 3 points on the table after wining 4-0 in the last meeting, but the Ref played a blinder and Coed Darcy roll on and continue their wining streak.

Next game Harp Rovers
